Is it March Yet? Announcing the 2009 Bracket Challenge Application

March Madness is right around the corner with Selection Sunday a little under a month away, so we’re excited to announce the launch of the FanSection 2009 Bracket Challenge application on Facebook.
We had great success with our bracket application last year with ~450K total users. This year we’re shooting a lot higher and are confident we can go North of 500K and as high as 750K or 1M. I’ll provide updates as the recruiting heats up over the course of the next several weeks. We’re starting with ~150K left over from last year so we have a nice head start.
Until the brackets are announced on March 15, users of the app can participate in a variety of activities such as creating pools, joining pools, inviting friends, building team support via fan waves, and discussing hoops with other passionate college basketball fans. But the real fun starts on March 15 when users can start filling out their brackets, and then again on March 19 when the first round games start.
