The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers are slated to do battle for the second time this season in about 5 minutes at The Garden in Boston.  The Lakers beat the Celtics 92-83 earlier this season on Christmas Day, and given the rivalry developed over the course of multiple NBA championship games, this should be a fun one to watch.  Kobe and Lebron are both coming off huge games vs the Knicks at Madison Square Garden in the last few days.  Kobe rang up 61 points a few nights ago and Lebron just threw down 52 including a triple double on Wednesday night.  This is going to be a fun game to watch.

These two fan applications are by far the largest NBA apps in the FanSection community.  The next closest is the app for the Detroit Pistons which is a distant third at 109K. Whatever the case, they’re fairly evenly matched with Lakers fans getting the nod based on their smack talk and growth.  If they keep this up over the course of the season, they’ll likely grab the lead from the Celtics heading into the playoffs.
