The results are in, and 75% of Buffalo Bills fans in the FanSection community think Terrell Owens will be good for the team. For those of you not paying attention, the Bills signed T.O. to a one year deal on Saturday and unveiled their new player to the media yesterday.
As a lifelong Cowboys fan, I say good riddance. But I was curious as to what Bills fans were thinking. 1428 fans participated in the poll, and here are the results:
I wish I could say I was surprised by the overwhelmingly positive sentiment, but I’m not. For the exact same reason Cowboys fans wanted TO to stay in Dallas, Bills fans are blinded by the talent and possibilities while completely ignoring the locker-room cancer that he is. TO has single-handedly destroyed team chemistry everywhere he has been: San Francisco, Philadelphia, and Dallas. Most notably, TO is a QB hater that will attack the team leader in the press at the drop of a hat. Jeff Garcia, Donovan McNabb, and Tony Romo have all had major issues with the WR, so the pattern is very clear. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. If I were Buffalo QBs Trent Edwards or JP Losman, I would be bracing for a long year.
Still, some folks are cautiously optimistic, while others are very happy that their team elected to pass on TO. Both of the bloggers referenced make great points. TO can absolutely help the Bills if he plays and doesn’t get involved in all of the drama. But if it turns ugly, it gets real ugly, and TO has no problem bringing down an entire organization in the process. Good luck Buffalo.

T.O. is a cancer and this is a shame that the Bills signed him. Although he would be a good addition I even think they needed him that bad. In my humble opinion…

correction: I don’t even think they needed him that bad. They had other more glaring needs.
