With the NFL draft rapidly approaching this weekend, discussion is starting to heat up around the FanSection community especially among teams with a top five pick.  No team is under the microscope more after a dreadful 0-16 season than the Detroit Lions.

The Lions pretty much need everything, especially a new offensive line and defensive players across the board.  So you would think that after seemingly drafting wide receivers in each of the last ten years, the Detroit front office would start building other key pieces of the team.  Heck, they even finally fired Matt Millen after years of getting worse and worse.

So what are the Lions going to do in the draft? Word on the street is that Georgia QB Matthew Stafford is at the top of their list. Wh-wh-what? For a team that seriously needs everything, QB should be the least of their concerns.  After all, they do have former All Pro Daunte Culpepper coming back which is better than a lot of other teams.  Rookie QBs are notroriously slow to get on the field, and the Lions need help now.  And by the look of what’s going on in the Detroit Lions Fans community on FanSection, the fans themselves agree.

Only 29% of fans want Matthew Stafford as the top pick.  Are you listening Lions front office? Detroit fans are famously loyal to their Lions, but I’m not sure if even they can withstand another 0-16.
