It all started with a diehard Atlanta Braves fan who has always been somewhat distraught that so few people attend most games, but had no clue how to rally more support. In 2007, he stumbled upon our Atlanta Braves Fans application, and that is where his journey to bring fellow fans closer to the team began…
This super fan, Andrew, initiated communications with us immediately (and with a bang) when he told us that he wanted to put on a recruiting contest within our community, and was willing to pay for the prize out of pocket. We were so inspired that we decided to match his prize offering for a second winner. The contest was a success, and the end goal was met: Andrew wanted to have more fans in the Braves community than in our New York Mets community. But, it didn’t end there… His eyes were set on something even bigger.
Over the past several months, Andrew has been working with the Braves organization* to set up his latest endeavor, player interviews. Andrew set up a time to meet with Braves leadoff man Kelly Johnson, collected potential interview questions within our Braves community, then videotaped himself relaying the fans’ questions to the 2nd baseman. So, it is with great excitement that we would like to share the first of what we hope will become a series of player videos:
*Watercooler, Inc. does not have a partnership of any kind with the Atlanta Braves organization. This project, we are proud to say, has been completely fan-run from start to finish.
